Grid is on my "To Buy" list....but when that will happen...who knows lol
after playing 6months straight of forza 2 (im still 3 achievements shy of a full 1000) im kinda tired of cars LOL...gonna enjoy my lego games that i just bought lol |

tried out grid a bit, but only with my controller, not the wheel & pedals. Graphics are great, physics will take a bit of practice as they're never quite the same from game to game, but it seems good - just a bit easy to wreck your car!
And I randomly ended up selling Halo 3 (it was 3 I had, not 2) and Gears of War without even advertising them - $30 for the pair to some dude who was just looking for games with a decent trade-in value at EB to trade for a new system. They were worth $33 in store credit but there's nothing i really want to get right now anyway, so this was easy. |

lol...sweet. I havent even touched my halo3 yet lol. I bought the Legendary edition that coems with the big masterchief helmet lol....and thats mostly why I bought it...for the helmet. lol
I dont know why...but Im too attached to even my crappy games to sell them lol...i think its cuz i like the way it looks on the shelf |

i had no attachment to those because they just came with the system when i bought it, I wouldn't have bought those games anyway. I can't stand playing FPS on a console.

LOL...ive heard that from ppl who are more used to PC shooters then console gaming...
i dont have a pc strong enough to handle anysort of games so thats not happening. hwoever, they do have gears of war for the pc....and it has some extra content not found on the 360 version....and for that alone i want to buy it LOL for when i DO actually have a pc that can handle gaming LOL |

ok...i cant tell obviously forza 3....but i dont have a clear enugh memory to figure out which would be the other new title...but im going to go out on a limb and say dirt 2 as that is one of the newer titles out there.

yep that's it! And i don't think I'll be playing much else but Forza3 for the next little while :D Dirt2 is lots of fun, especially with friends around, but it just doesn't have the depth to keep you going like Forza

i tried out the demo for dirt 2 and it seemed alright. good looking graphics.
my favourite thing about it though was in cockpit view mode...you can choose to accessorise the inside...and one of the options is to have your avatar hanging from his foot boucing away. the only crappy thing thoughwas that it was slightly off screen so you had to use the right joystick to see it. lol unless it was just the demo build. played the forza 3 demo as well and that was just great. GORGEOUS graphics!! |

Yeah, the demo shows off the graphics and the physics, but lots of games have that - Grid, Dirt, etc.. it's the career play, 400 cars and deep customization that keeps me playing. I'm a sucker for anything customizable - to me that gives a game an extra dimension of replayability. Next time I fire it up, I can pick some car I haven't tried out yet, tune it up and pimp it out in a different way from before, and take it for some laps. I avoided buying Rock Band when I only had a PS2 because they stripped all the character creation out of the PS2 version.
The dash ornaments and horns in Dirt2 are cool, but it's just not enough for me.. unless I really want to do some rally/off-road racing, it'll be Forza for me. And if I get a bit tired of Forza, I probably won't spring for another racer, I'll go back to GTA 4 or a guitar game. |
